Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to epistemological and methodological foundations and empirical techniques of research in translation studies with a view to designing and completing an MA thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written examination.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students will acquire an understanding of basic concepts of epistemology and philosophy of science as well as practical knowledge of methodological approaches in doing quantitative empirical research.
Examination topics
Lecture supported by presentation slides (PowerPoint) with opportunity for discussion.
