Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to epistemological and methodological foundations of translation and interpreting research with a view to the completion of an MA thesis in translation and interpreting studies; lecture with visual support (PowerPoint) and opportunity for questions and discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

Exams are held on site. Three questions have to be answered in writing within 45 minutes without the use of any resource materials.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Grading is based on a point system (2 points per question). At least 3 points are required for a passing grade.

Examination topics

All content presented in the lectures and in discussion, complemented by readings indicated in class, isrelevant for the exam.
