Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

On the basis of knowledge that was acquired in the TBK-lesson (BA) regarding analysis of different types of texts, mainly about indigenous populations in Brazil.

Assessment and permitted materials

Current evaluation. Each translation will be graded (awarded points - altogether max. 80%). At the end of the semester, students will either hand in a portfolio with all corrected translations or have a test (will be agreed with students at the beginning of the semester).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students ought to start practising translation, from making an offer, asking questions, analyzing texts, working in groups, correcting each other and hand in the translation on time, probably also ficticional billing.

Examination topics

Students receive their tasks weekly via ZTW-Moodle. Each text has to be translated at home and uploaded (by Wednesday 3 pm). The teacher corrects the translations which are being discussed in class during the following lesson.
