Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Developing listening comprehension strategies, critical listening and discussion skills, as well as producing spoken and written texts embedded in a specific communication situation

Assessment and permitted materials

Completion of four written assignments (40%),
Mid-term test (30%), and final test (30%).
Attendance mandatory (two absences allowed).
Students are allowed to use dictionaries (no electronic devices).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The objectives of this course are as follows:
- to help students improve their listening comprehension and discussion skills;
- to raise students' awareness of writing processes;
- to improve students' writing skills with a focus on the communication situation and text organisation

Examination topics

In-class listening and writing activities (individual, pair, and group work), online activities, home assignments in spoken comprehension and text production
