Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course held in Italian focuses on historical, political, economic and social topics that are important for Italian culture. Groups of two or three students will present the contents of a book for each group - see bibliography. Each student will have to write a paper work on a subject related to the topic of the book presented by him/her and defined by the teacher.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous monitoring, mandatory presence, active participation in discussions and lectures, preparation and presentation of topics, individual written work (Italian) at the end of the semester.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students are able to read and summarize Italian texts, to understand and analyze historical, political and social contents of Italy, to present in Italian the results of their research and analysis and to write in Italian an essay on a theme related to the course.

Examination topics

Group and individual discussions, individual presentations, reading and analyses of texts, written paper at the end of the semester.
