Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The contents of the lecture consist in conceptual groundwork with the two core concepts of ethics and diversity as well as their application to the various areas of transcultural communication.

oral lecture supported by slides as well as interactive discussions, video material

objectives:
Students are introduced to scientific conceptual work based on the two core concepts of ethics and diversity.
The various concepts ensuing from the conceptual groundwork undertaken with "ethics" and "diversity" as well as their conceptual interplay are applied to various types of transcultural communication.
The consequences of this conceptual work for the practice of transcultural communication (e.g. various forms of ethics) will be critically investigated.

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam consisting of a total of three multiple-choice questions as well as two open-ended ones.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

the assessment scheme as well as the weighting of the single questions are available on Moodle and will be explained during the first lecture.

Examination topics

contents of the lecture (slides supporting the oral presentation) as well as a mandatory reading list.
