Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The subjects discussed in this practical class are selected according to the participating students' input and do not necessarily reflect the subjects covered in the grammar lecture.
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentations, general class work, mid-term test, written final test
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Acquisition of a higher degree of proficiency in the use of grammatically correct English. Particular emphasis on raising students' awareness of the differences between grammatically correct formal English and colloquial/informal English.
Examination topics
Presentations by groups of students (3 to 4 at a time) on the subjects selected, each presentation being followed by a short "quiz" to check understanding. In addition, various exercises on the basis of handouts distributed in class.
