Aims, contents and method of the course

Content/Objectives:
Developing presentation and interactive speaking skills

Methods:
teacher input, pair activities, individual presentations, group discussions, and role plays

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be based on in-class performance (60%), assignments (20%), and participation (20%).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance is mandatory (1 absence can be excused). Students are expected to be clear and coherent in presenting an issue, defending a position, and evaluating contributions of others. Assessment sheets are available on Moodle.

Grading scale:
90-100%: 1
80-89%: 2
70-79%: 3
60-69%: 4
< 60%: 5 (fail)
