This course will take place digitally and asynchronously. The tapes for each session will be available on Moodle for a duration of two weeks, after which they will be taken off the platform.


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course aims to study the context of text and culture, to assess their interconnectedness, to establish how culture permeates discourse, and forms narration within a culture. It provides an overview on the history and culture of the English-speaking world to assess, in a second step, the phenomenon of collective identity against this background in selected literature.
The focus of this course is on "Britain, Empire and Aftermath".

90-100: very good or 1
80-89: good or 2
70-79: average or 3
60-69: low pass or 4
below 60 is a fail or 5
