Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Acquiring various simultaneous interpreting techniques in the context of different topics; relay interpreting; learning and using subject-specific vocabulary; taking written information during interpreting; simulation of short-term preparation for simultaneous interpreting;
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment course, therefore continuous presence and active participation is required during the whole semester; feedback by the lecturers and feedback provided by peers.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Fluent proficiency in the working languages; willingness to become acquainted with a specific subject area at short notice; active participation;In the assessment, the following performances are taken into account:
80% active participation in class (this includes giving constructive feedback to colleagues).
20% active preparation: working on vocabulary, independent research into content outside of lessons.Grading scale:
1 ( excellent) 90 - 100 %.
2 (good) 80 - <90 %
3 (satisfactory) 70 - <80 %.
4 (sufficient) 60 - <70 %
