Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Based on written assignments and mostly written English source texts, English target texts will be drafted and re-worded for different media, target groups, text functions and uses, depending on the respective assignment. Time permitting, spoken source texts will also be used.
Assessment and permitted materials
Homework to be handed in within the given deadlines, mid-term test, end-of-term test
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Improvement of students' feel for style and language, word power, ability to produce the result described in the respective assignments.
Examination topics
Working with English source texts, students will summarise, abridge or re-word texts in accordance with assignments and target group/medium needs. We will do exercises in style and wording, edit and produce texts.
