Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will follow the course of art in the United States in the 18h Century. We will discuss the political situation and ultimately how this effected the art scene from 1700s onwards.

Assessment and permitted materials

The student will be assessed by 1. attendence and participation 2. class assignments - quizes 3. oral presentation 4. written presentationn

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goals of this course are to understand the complex message given and received through art.

Examination topics

Learning through communication. There will be group and individual discussions, analysis of artwork, reading with verbal and written communication of what has been read. Class participation is a requirement for assessment.
