Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will give an overview of German/Italian/German consecutive interpreting and addresses students who have chosen KD and DD as specialization as well as students who want to undertake this course for the individual subject.

Based on the fundamental knowledge of note taking students will practice within speeches from the domains economy, politics culture etc., the characteristics of German-Italian consecutive interpreting and vice-versa.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continouos control, homework, preparation and research work, attendence (compulsary) and course performance will be used for defining the final marking.

Deregistration prior to 31st of March 2022

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

C2-level for German and Italian, the prior completion of the courses "Basiskompetenz Translation B: Dolmetschen" and "Notizenkunde" is highly recommended, interpreting in both directions in accordance with the communicative purpose of the topic.
