Attendance is mandatory—two absences allowed.
An advanced level of both oral and written English is required.
Students must complete all assignments.
Students need to reach at least 60 % of the overall score for a pass grade.

below 60 is a fail or 5

On completion of this module, students should be able to:
- describe the specific nature of audiovisual translation and media accessibility, in particular the way in which sound, image and linguistic components work together;
- display awareness of the linguistic, cultural, professional and political issues involved in these fields;
- display awareness of the constraints involved in AVT modes;
- demonstrate specific hands-on AVT skills, for examples text compression, spotting, editing;
- conform to and apply conventions of good practice;
- make informed choices on the basis of genre, purpose, and intended audience;
- use relevant software individually or in teams to complete tasks respecting a given brief;
- orient themselves in the specific research literature.
