Aims, contents and method of the course

Students are introduced to key concepts and theoretical approaches of interpreting studies as well as the major milestones and phases in its development. Following an overview of the discipline’s various paradigms, students gain insights into the state of the art in the most prominent areas of research. Lecture content is presented with visual support (PowerPoint) and through questions and discussion in class.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on a written examination (on site) which comprises six short essay questions to be answered without the use of documentary or digital resources.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Grading is based on a six-point system (1 point per question). At least 3 points are required for a passing grade.

Examination topics

The exam covers all content presented in the lectures and in discussion, complemented by readings indicated in class.
