Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Translation and analysis of various legal texts referring to Italian and Austrian, German law.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsary attendence and acrive class work 10%, weekly assigments 10%, intermediate written exam 30% [15% German/Italian, 15% Italian/German], final exam 30% [15% German/Italian, 15% Italian/German], semester work 20%.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course will tackle translation competences for legal translation.Students should learn to adopt adequate translation strategies in order to produce German and Italian texts that fulfil different functions and are formally correct.

Examination topics

Analysis and translation work on legal textx, research work in groups, think-pair- (square)-share, frontal teaching.
