Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The competences acquired during the BA "Transkulturelle Kommunikation" - language competences included - will be fostered. This course provides an introduction to all these competences for those students who do not have a BA degree from the ZTW. The course also will give an orientation for the subject field that has to be chosen after the completion of modules 01 and 02.
Basic competences in any form of translation and interpreting (strategies, text typologies, register, cultural transfer, common and thematic knowledge, mining competence, technological skills etc.) referred to the language pair German/Italian.
After a brief theoretical introduction to all competences translation and interpreting strategies will be tackled by analysing written and oral texts in both languages - group work. Focussed exercises like clozing will give an overview to the different competences needed for the different subject fields.
