Attendance: If you do not attend the first lesson (without good reason), you will be deregistered from the course and your place will be given to the next person on the waiting list.

Deregistration: If you wish to deregister from this course, please do so by 31st March 2016 at the latest. After this time, it will not be possible for you to leave the course.

If you are absent from the course more than twice during the semester, without good reason, you will receive a semester grade of 5.

Improvement of skills needed to interpret and produce grammatically correct texts in English.
Exercises in class and on Moodle.
Tense review, conditionals, affixes, gerunds & infinitives, modal verbs, reported speech, relative clauses, the passive

Mid-semester test (40%), end-of-term test (40%), two mini tests (10% each). No materials permitted.

Mid-term and final exam: Tenses, conditionals, affixes and word formation, collocations, gerunds & infinitives, modal verbs, reported speech, relative clauses, the passive
Mini-test 1: Articles, dependent prepositions, linking words
Mini-test 2: Inversion, nouns, unreal time
