Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will review what grammar is/can be (grammar theory), and we will also work on selected topics (e.g. tense review, conditionals, affixes, gerunds & infinitives, modal verbs, reported speech, relative clauses, the passive, ...). Students are welcome to suggest additional topics.
Exercises in class, additional exercises on moodle.
The language of instruction is English.

Assessment and permitted materials

Mid-semester test (40%), end-of-term test (40%), one mini test (20%).

59% 5 (fail)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation: 30%
Mid-term test: 30%*
End-of-term test: 30%*
Essay: 10%

*In order to pass the class, students have to achieve a passing grade on at least one of the tests.
