Aims, contents and method of the course

AIMS:
- to improve the interpreting competence (English-Russian, and vice versa)
- to improve one's own individual note-taking technique
- to improve memory
- to learn how to deal with job assigments, both with and without preparation
- to improve self-assessment skills and to learn how to be more resilient in stressful situations

CONTENT
- consecutive interpreting
- note-taking technique
- memory exercises
- various topics

METHODS
- working with texts (videos and speeches), with or without preparation
- Consecutive interpreting, and discussing the performance with peers and with the teacher

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance and active participation required

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

It is required that students are able to apply strategies and theoretical input in working situations
