Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Übersetzen von Fachtexten aus den Bereichen Geisteswissenschaft, Naturwissenschaft/Medizin, Technik und Recht/Wirtschaft in beide Richtungen (Japanisch und Deutsch). Für das Sommersemester 2014 ist außerdem die Übersetzung von Texten für das NET-GTAS-Projekt (Network of Translators for the Globalization of Testimonies of A-Bomb Survivors) geplant. Übersetzt werden die japanischen Untertitel von Videoberichten der Atombombenopfer ins Deutsche.

Assessment and permitted materials

Aktive Mitarbeit, Projektarbeit und schriftliche Leistungserhebungen.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Erwerb der Basiskenntnisse für die Fachübersetzung und Stärkung der Recherchierkompetenz.

Examination topics

Auf Grund der von den Studierenden vorbereiteten Texte werden translatorische Handlungsstrategien, u.a. Recherchemöglichkeiten, Arbeit mit Wörterbüchern, Parallelliteratur und Umgang mit Übersetzungsaufträgen besprochen.
