Aims, contents and method of the course
Aims: Acquiring a functional note-taking technique suitable as a basis for consecutive interpreting classes in the MA.Contents and methods: Principles and elements of language-independent note taking, discussion of different approaches to note-taking technique, note-taking/consecutive interpreting exercises.RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended you take the course Basic Competence Translation B Interpreting before taking this course.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in class (interpreting, analysis of notes, structured feedback, discussions, group work, exercises) and homework (handed in on time) will be graded on the 1 to 5 scale.
