Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Overview about the grammar of modern standard Czech, in particular morphology: declination of nouns, adjectives, numbers, pronouns; conjugation and context of verbs; comparison of adjectives and adverbs; prepositions. Exercises in given context. - Students are encouraged to ask questions.

Assessment and permitted materials

Attendance and completion of homework on a regular basis are strongly recommended. Mandatory final test in the last meeting of the term. Course grade is the result of the final test.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Consolidation of standard grammatical forms and written and oral proficiency in context. Recognition of non-standard grammatical forms.

Examination topics

Lecture, individual exercises, and exercises in pairs and teams.
