Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will look at the development of British, American, Australian, South African as well as Indian culture and popular culture around the globe.
Students will not only learn about the Anglo-Saxon culture in each country but also how it spread through colonialism. We will examine how popular culture has come to capture the hearts of people around the world and has become a university course of study.

Assessment and permitted materials

Last final exam: Final exam will be January 28, 2021 at 12.30pm
Final exam June 25 at time of class 12.30pm - 2pm,
October 2020, November 2020 and January 2021

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

100-90=1
80-89=2
70-79=3
60-69=4 and below 60 is 5 or fail

Examination topics

Lecture followed by a 10-15 minute discussion. Students are free to ask questions during the lecture as well. Articles relevant to the lecture will be made available on the e-learning platform.
