Aims, contents and method of the course

- Comprehension, discussion and presentation of written and audio materials
- Objectives: Improvement of students' comprehension, speaking and presentation skills

Assessment and permitted materials

- Homework and class participation 25%
- Final project 25%
- Group presentations 25%
- Individual presentation 25%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance required; 2 absences allowed

• English level B2 or higher

Grading scale:
• 90-100%: 1
• 80-89%: 2
• 70-79%: 3
• 60-69%: 4
• < 60%: 5 (fail)

Examination topics

In addition to the final project, students will be expected to contribute to class discussions and group projects, complete homework assignments, and make one independent presentation. Materials used in class will be made available to students through the Moodle platform. Emphasis will be on American English. Language of instruction is English.

Texts will be provided on moodle during the course.
How to Write it by Sandra E. Lamb is used for some of the writing assignments and will be posted on moodle.
