Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Preparation for the topics of the speeches to be interpreted (glossaries, research with or without AI support). Regular self-evaluation of the simultaneous interpreting performance and recordings in class through transcription and self-reflection.
Final test (recorded simultaneous interpreting in both directions).

- Compulsory attendance, active participation, preparation
50% interpreting in class
20% glossary and preparation

Examination topics
- positive interpreting performance in both directions. The interpreting performance should be assessed on the basis of the criteria for the "Modul" exam.

- Simultaneous interpreting (in both directions unless Portuguese is a C language)
- Development and practice of interpreting strategies
- Self-evaluation, peer-to-peer feedback, feedback from the teacher
- Preparation and delivery of speeches, “mock conferences”After completing the course, students should be able to:
- interpret well-structured, didactically prepared speeches (up to 7 minutes in length) on simple topics correctly and logically
- use appropriate interpreting strategies
- evaluate their own and others' interpreting performance
