Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Seminar for supervision of MA theses (ideally based on prior supervision agreement).
Conceptual and methodological development of MA theses and doctoral dissertations; development and enhancement of research skills, particularly with regard to research design and techniques of data collection and analysis as well as oral and written presentation.
Discussion of projects; oral presentations with group discussion; submission of a seminar paper.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment for this course is based on a system of (max. 14) points and comprises regular attendance and active participation in the seminar sessions (max. 3 points), the quality of the oral presentation (max. 4 points) and the seminar paper (max. 7 points).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Based on the 14-point assessment system, at least 8 points are necessary for a passing grade.
