Aims, contents and method of the course

Analysis of texts for special purposes in various fields, such as medicine, technology, humanities, economy, focussing on terminology and stylistic characteristics; working with parallel texts both in Russian and in German. Acquiring basic competence for translating texts for special purposes.

Written exam at the end of the term

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

minimum 60% for a positive result; active participation throughout the course

The exam topics include the content and work assignments presented in the course as well as the required reading published on Moodle.
