Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course will be taught in association with the course ¿Hörkompetenz und Textproduktion: Portugiesisch¿. At first we will read texts about the construction of stereotypes, Brazilian culture and colloquial language; then, we will read specialised periodicals.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- Expand their knowledge of Brazilian culture and stereotypes;
- Expand their active knowledge of idiomatic expressions, as well as of specialised vocabulary (yet to be chosen);
- Improve their writing, elocution and translation skills;
- Introduce the craft of subtitling.

Examination topics
The readings, presentations and discussions of the present course will provide the basis for the work carried out within the course ¿Hörkompetenz und Textproduktion: Portugiesisch¿. We will work with the vocabulary and cultural references in question, coming up with glossaries, subtitles and perhaps small acting numbers.
