Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Analysis of and tasks connected with different text types for different purposes and target groups.
Every week students are asked to download a text together with a specific task description from our moodle-platform. Assignments are to be handed in every Wednesday before 3 p.m. after having been corrected by a peer. All assignments are corrected by the teacher. In class, we will discuss the translation process and analyze the text which is to be translated next.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous evaluation. 80% home assignments, 20% exam at the end of the semester. One bilingual and one monolingual dictionary can be brought to the exam. No electronic devices.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

60% of the total points are necessary to pass the exam.
