Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Starting from their own individual background and personal experience in English, students will work with, and write, various types of texts (e.g., reviews and revisions, website texts) for target groups that include non-native readers of English. Real-life transcultural settings will be defined as contexts for the texts to be produced.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in activities in class and on Fronter, written assignments, mid-term test, final exam, portfolio of all texts produced in the course of the semester.
Please note that attendance is mandatory. Completion of Textkompetenz 1: Englisch is a prerequisite for this course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Exploring the characteristics of texts published in different varieties of English, as well as examining students' own style. Producing English texts for international audiences to be used in practice.
Examination topics
Students will get feedback on texts they write during the semester and will comment on each others' texts; group work, partner exercises, research excursion.
