Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to central methods, theories and approches of literary studies and interpretation and relevant concepts such as author and reader; institutions of literary communication and mediation; canon formation; literary genres.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam on the material presented in class and compulsory reading material. No aids allowed. Due to Covid 19 the exam will be an oral exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum for pass grade: 60%.

Power-point slides, lecture, compulsory reading.
