Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Presentation of various texts on the concept of knowledge-transfer and a selection of technical texts taken from various different sources. Preparation of MA final exam (Modul Prüfung Fachübersetzen).
Assessment and permitted materials
Written test at the end of the semester. Optionally, presentations and collaboration on glossaries can be credited as well.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Einarbeiten in ein Fachgebiet und der jeweiligen Fachterminologie durch Lektüre und Analyse von Paralleltexten. Auftragsgemäße Abwicklung von Übersetzungsaufträgen und dadurch Vorbereitung auf die MA-Prüfung Fachübersetzen.
Examination topics
Präsentation der ausgewählter portugiesischer Fachtexte aus unterschiedlichen Fachgebieten (vorwiegend Politik und Wirtschaft) und kontrastive Arbeit mit dem Deutschen (horizontaler Wissenstransfer). Recherchetätigkeit und Arbeit an einem gemeinsamen Glossar sowie eingehende Beschäftigung mit einem Teilfachgebiet durch Erarbeiten einer Präsentation (vertikaler Wissenstransfer).
