Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to the topic of technical language and knowledge-transfer. Analysing technical texts and working with them. Topics this semester: Engineering and sciences.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written test at the end of the semester. Optionally, presentations and collaboration on glossaries can be credited as well.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Study of the micro- and makro-structures of technical/specialized texts of the following areas: Engineering and sciences

Examination topics

After a the presentation of the theoretical bases of terminology work, technical texts taken from various areas are presented, analyzed and worked on (PT-German, possibly also English). Presentation of research methods and collaboration on a class glossary. Getting to know a specific area throroughly which is presented by students individually.
