This course adresses mainly students who have followed the beginners' course in the winter term. Beginners are kindly asked to choose Ms Singer's parallel course. We highly recommend to attend the course "Basic competence: interpreting" before atteding any interpreting course.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Based on the fundamental knowledge of note taking students will practice, using speeches from the domains economy, politics culture ecc., the characteristics of German-Italian consecutive interpreting and vice-versa.

Assessment and permitted materials

permanent control, feed-back. Deregistration is possible until the 31st of March 2014.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students are supposed to acquire basic knowledge in German/Italian and Italian/German consecutive interpreting and a overview of practical note taking, rhetoric and interpreting technique of the two languages.

Examination topics

Starting from simple spoken texts, students will practice during the academic year (beginners should start in the WS) up to live-simulation played back from MP 3 and video.
Continuos feedback.

Students should also work on the e-platform (application, papers and general information ecc.).
