Aims, contents and method of the course

Translatorische Bearbeitung von Texten aus verschiedenen Sachgebieten und Kulturen: Textanalyse (Analyse des Ausgangstexts in Relation zu Auftrag und Zieltext, auftragsspezifische Anforderungen an den Zieltext, Reflektieren von Textsortenkonventionen etc.), Textproduktion in Deutsch oder Englisch, je nach Vorgabe (z.B. Kurzfassungen oder Zusammenfassungen der Inhalte für verschiedene Zielgruppen und Zwecke), Kommentar zum Arbeitsprozess (Argumentation der bei der Textproduktion getroffenen Entscheidungen). Es wird in gleichem Maße aus dem Englischen in das Deutsche und aus dem Deutschen in das Englische gearbeitet.

Mitarbeit, Hausübung, Zwischenprüfung, Semesterprüfung.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Die Studierenden sollen den auftragsbezogenen Umgang mit Texten erlernen: Verständnis des Ausgangstexts in seinem Kontext, Erfassen der auftragsspezifischen Anforderungen an den Zieltext, Reflexion der eigenen Textproduktion. Vorbereitung für die Bakk- und PIK-Prüfungen.

Examination topics

Verschiedene Aufgabenstellungen werden im Unterricht von den Studierenden in Gruppen bearbeitet. Translatorische Problemstellungen, Methodik sowie verschiedene Lösungsmöglichkeiten für spezifische Probleme werden besprochen.
