Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to epistemological and methodological foundations of translation and interpreting research with a view to the completion of an MA thesis in translation and interpreting studies; lecture with visual support (PowerPoint) and opportunity for questions and discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written final exam (without use of reference material).
Change of format: The fourth exam session in the 2020 summer term will take place on 19 May in digital written format. Further information is provided via the Moodle news forum.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students must be able to follow the lecture at MA-level proficiency and take the written exam by answering questions in writing on the topics covered in the course.

As presented in the lectures and in discussion, complemented by readings indicated in class.
