Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Discussion of the interaction between theory, practice and learning in the context of transcultural communication and Translation Studies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam at the end of the semester.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students should learn how to manage their studies and their own learning strategies with relation to the real practice of translation and transcultural communication and to take into account the necessity for a theoretical basis to their professional decisions and activities.
Examination topics
Illustration of the interaction between theory, practice and learning in the context of transcultural communication and Translation Studies, with concrete examples and discussion of the implications and advantages of theoretical knowledge for professional practice.
