Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This semester we will focus on the role of the media in US society and culture. Topics to be addressed will include: how have the media changed over the past century? is there objective news coverage in America? how do radio, television, internet, print media influence public debates in the US? We will examine different radio programs, newspapers and their reception. Documentary material will also be viewed and discussed in class.
