Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Practical translation course. In this course you will work in both directions (German/Spanish and vice versa) with texts from different fields of economics and business studies, from economic reports such as annual accounts to new economic theories, company organisation, etc. The specific corpus of texts will be chosen during the first hour of class, trying to cover a wide range of texts which are representative of professional practice. In terms of methodology, the source texts and translations will be commented on in class and students will be encouraged to discuss and actively participate in class both on the translation aspects and on the different aspects of economic theory.
