Aims, contents and method of the course
Starting with Skopostheory and discussing Descriptive Translation Studies, Deconstruction, Rewriting and Patronage, an overview of models in Translation Studies will be given. We shall also have a look at the current paradigms of Translation Sociology and the ethics of translation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The main objective of the course consists in presenting the relationship between different models in Translation Studies and practical analytical work, ie the relationship between theory and application, between theory and the aimed knowledge.
