Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Referring to the semester topic (4 semester cycle: arts, science+medicine, technical sciences+ engineering , law+economics) an overview of the Italian technical communication will be given. This semester we will treat the field of private Italian law.

Assessment and permitted materials

Final written exam (definitions, collocations, multiple choice, translation).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The objective of the course is to acquire the basic knowledge for technical translations and to provide an overview to Italian terminological work. On the one hand, an introduction to the semester topic is given in Italian language, on the other hand students will practice term extraction on the basis of original Italian texts.

Examination topics

Term extraction, translation of technical texts, definitions, significant words or phrases extracted from texts and collocations.
Students should work also on the e-platform (application, papers and general information ecc.).
