Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Kontrastive Einführung in die Grundbegriffe der polnischen und der österreichischen Rechtssprache in einem zweisemestrigen Zyklus. Sprachliche und inhaltliche Analyse verschiedener Textsorten aus dem juristischen Bereich. Übersetzen von juristischen Texten (Behördenschriftstücke, gerichtliche Texte etc.) in beide Richtungen.
WS 2014: Straf- und Zivilrecht; SS 2015 Arbeitsrecht, sonstige Rechtstexte

Assessment and permitted materials

leistungsimmanent: aktive Mitarbeit in der LVA, termingerechte Abgabe der Hausarbeit, schriftliche Semesterabschlussleistungserhebung.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Erwerb translatorischer Kompetenz im Bereich von Rechtstexten unter besonderer Berücksichtigung textsortenspezifischer Anforderungen in beiden Rechtskulturen.

Examination topics

Vortrag, Eigenarbeit (Lektüre angegebener Fachliteratur und Quellentexte), Gruppenarbeit in der LVA (Übersetzungsarbeit), Diskussion, kontrastive Analyse, Präsentation eigener Übersetzungen (Hausarbeit), schriftliche Semesterarbeit.
