Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Objectives: brush-up of technical and methodological foundations for scientific writing and working. At the end of the semester all students have a clear idea of how to find. a master's thesis' topic and how to write a research proposal and to start writing a master's thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Performance will be measured based on three individual performances: 1) Online writing and research exercises as substitution for lectures up to 3. April 2) oral presentation of the main concept of your master's thesis as an online presentation (Collaborate - see "Präsentationstermine" in Moodle), 3) submission of the written research proposal (template and information see Moodle). Please actively participate in the online sessions of the presentations.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Oral presentation and written research proposal of sufficient quality for a positive assessment; compliance with all requirements in terms of content.
Examination topics
Exercises: three exercises on Moodle
Presentation: slides have to be uploaded to Moodle two working days before the presentation (Tuesday night).
Research proposal: to be submitted the latest one month following the individual oral presentation.
