Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This master colloquium is targeted towards students with specialization technical translation and language industry.Objectives: brush-up of technical and methodological foundations for scientific writing and working. At the end of the semester all students have a clear idea of how to find. a master's thesis' topic and how to write a research proposal and to start writing a master's thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Performance will be measured based on three performances:
1) online exercises
2) oral presentation of the main concept of your master's thesis (online as video conference or in the lecture)
3) submission of the written research proposal (template and information see Moodle).Please actively participate in the discussion as well as feedback on presentations.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Oral presentation and written research proposal of sufficient quality for a positive assessment; compliance with all requirements in terms of content as well as attendance.
Examination topics
Exercises: three exercises in Moodle
Presentation: slides have to be uploaded to Moodle two working days before the presentation (Thursday night).
Research proposal: to be submitted the latest one month following the individual oral presentation.
