Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will use a redacted original text from an official source to do vocabulary and background research, prepare or complement glossaries, work with the asylum database and translate from German into English. If possible, we will invite an expert from the field of administrative/asylum law. Of course, we will also cooperate with the French and Spanish groups and regularly compare notes.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

We will try to bring together as many aspects of translation and project work in a specific field as possible and combine it with the acquisition of technical background knowledge.

Examination topics

Guidance to students as they work as independently as possible (preparation, erminology research, translation, proof-reading, coordination, QA) using e-learning tools.
