Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this class we shall compare variations in conventions between languages and investigate how presupposition differences influence the way in which information is imparted to different target audiences and in different settings. For this purpose we will analyse various aspects of texts.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Get a good grasp of differences across languages of relevant aspects of texts and how they are adapted to individual purposes.
