Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Improving comprehension of spoken English, developing a range of speaking skills, and producing short written texts in support of spoken output. Activities include listening and pronunciation exercises, voice development, presentations, discussions, and spontaneous speeches.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on:
1) individual presentation (25%),
2) group presentation (25%),
3) midterm test (20%),
4) final test (30%).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance is mandatory (2 absences can be tolerated).

Grading scale:
90-100%: 1
80-89%: 2
70-79%: 3
60-69%: 4
< 60%: 5 (fail)

Examination topics

The tests will be based on in-class activities.
