Aims, contents and method of the course

Translation of technical texts from English into German and vice versa.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation in class, handing in (on time) of administrative and translation assignments, mid- and end-of-term tests.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Independent handling of an enire translation job, from offer to invoice.

Examination topics

Analysis of entire translation job including administrative tasks. Translation of selected texts required for the preparation of a conference (website, program, correspondence, abstracts). Research, glossary of terms.
