Aims, contents and method of the course

Overview of the evolution, basic concepts and theories of interpreting studies; lecture supported by presentation slides (PowerPoint) with opportunity for questions and discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam (without use of reference material)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students must be able to follow the lecture at MA-level proficiency and take the written exam by answering questions in writing on the topics covered in the course.

Examination topics

As presented in the lectures and in discussion, complemented by readings indicated in class.
